Week 4 Personal Reflection
These reflections are designed to encourage introspection, enhance team dynamics, and improve project outcomes through regular documentation of individual contributions, challenges faced, and collaborative efforts within your team.
These reflections are a valuable tool for your growth as a computer science professional. Engage with the process honestly and thoughtfully.
Reflection Guidelines
Make a copy of the Personal Reflection Template and complete the document. As you are doing so, using the following list of questions and topics to think about the your experience. Also, don't forget the 7 Cs of Communication!

- How are you feeling about the team's progress

Challenges and Solutions:
- Describe any challenges or obstacles you encountered (e.g. a particularly challenging bug)
- Discuss how you addressed these challenges.
- Reflect on what you learned from overcoming these difficulties.

Learning and Development:
- Reflect on the most important thing learned since the last reflection (e.g., new technologies, new strategies for approaching problems, managing team dynamics, etc.)
- Identify any areas for personal growth or skills you would like to develop further.

- Detail the work you have accomplished since the last reflection.
- Include specific tasks or components you worked on.
- Reflect on the skills you used or developed during these tasks.

- Acknowledge the work and contributions of each team member; or highlight if other's did not make contributions.
- Be specific about their roles and how their work has impacted the project.

Evaluation Rubric
Quality of Details Provided
- Exceptional (5 points): Reflections are rich with specific, relevant details about personal contributions, challenges, peer contributions, and project progress. Demonstrates a deep understanding of the project and team dynamics.
- Proficient (4 points): Provides clear and comprehensive details covering most aspects of personal work, team collaboration, and project status. Reflections are informative and relevant.
- Adequate (3 points): Includes necessary details about personal and team activities but may lack depth or specificity in some areas.
- Needs Improvement (2 points): Reflections are somewhat vague or incomplete, lacking sufficient details in several key areas.
- Unsatisfactory (1 point): Provides minimal or irrelevant details, leaving significant gaps in understanding personal and team activities.
Insights Drawn from the Experience
- Exceptional (5 points): Offers profound insights into personal learning, team dynamics, and project development. Demonstrates significant self-awareness and understanding of team processes.
- Proficient (4 points): Shows clear understanding and reflection on personal and team experiences. Insights are relevant and well-articulated.
- Adequate (3 points): Reflections contain some insights, but they may be superficial or not fully explored.
- Needs Improvement (2 points): Offers limited insights, with minimal reflection on personal and team experiences.
- Unsatisfactory (1 point): Lacks meaningful insights, failing to reflect thoughtfully on experiences and learnings.
Writing Quality (The 7 Cs of Communication)
- Exceptional (5 points): Reflections are exceptionally well-written, clear, concise, concrete, correct, coherent, complete, and courteous. The writing is engaging and free of errors.
- Proficient (4 points): Well-structured and clear writing that adheres to most of the 7 Cs. Minor errors may be present but do not detract from overall communication.
- Adequate (3 points): Reflections meet basic standards of clarity and coherence, but may have some issues with conciseness, concreteness, or minor grammatical errors.
- Needs Improvement (2 points): Writing lacks clarity or coherence in several areas, or has multiple grammatical or structural errors that impede understanding.
- Unsatisfactory (1 point): Writing is poor, lacking clarity, coherence, and correctness, with significant errors or issues in communication.

Your work must be submitted Anchor for degree credit and to Gradescope for grading.
- Export your Personal Reflection from Google Docs as a PDF.
- Upload the PDF to Gradescope via the appropriate submission link for the course.
- Upload the PDF to Anchor using the form below.
Note: Anchor submissions can occur at any time during the term, but it is critical that you upload all of your work to Anchor before the last day of the term. Gradescope submissions must be submitted before the deadline (or the late deadline, if applicable).
